Dear Friends in Soccer:

The Soccer Club Of Ridgefield (SCOR) invites your team to the Twenty-Fifth Annual Labor Day Warm-Up Tournament to be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 and Sunday, August 31, 2008, with a rain date of Monday, September 1, 2008.

The tournament will host competition for club teams of boys and girls in the U-9 through U-14 age groups. (See application form for birth date requirements.)

Red Bulls Street Team will be on site exhibiting their special talents.  Join the fun!

This tournament is sanctioned by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association. Rosters are limited to 18 players (no guest players allowed) and all players must be registered with  U. S. S. F. or its national equivalent. The U-9 and U-10 teams will be eight-sided and their rosters limited to 14 players.

The entry fee is $400.00 per team. To apply, please complete the online application process, print and sign the application and mail to the address below along with a copy of your latest roster and the tournament fee of $400 by July 15, 2008.  The online application is available at SCOR.org.   All applications and checks for teams not accepted will be returned after the final selection is made. Selection will be made on a first come, first served basis. SCOR reserves the right to accept teams in order to balance the competition. Accepted teams will forfeit the entire registration fee if they do no participate without SCOR being able to fill the vacancy. Not all teams could be accommodated last year, so we recommend that you send in your application form promptly.

The teams will be scheduled to play four (4) fifty (50) minutes games, and guaranteed to play at least three (3) games. Awards will be given for first place winners in each division of U-11 through U-14, while all U-9 and U-10 teams will be given participation awards. The players will exchange team patches after each game and a commemorative tournament patch will be given to all players as well.

We will be entertaining a total of 100 teams.  Space is more limited than past years, so apply early, date of application receipt is one of our selection criteria.

The updated Tournament Rules and Regulations, Zero Tolerance Policy and our approved U. S. Y. S. A. Application to Host Tournament form are available on this website. Upon acceptance into the tournament, each member of your team will be required to complete a Player Registration and Release Form and a Medical Release Form. Information on hotel accommodations will also be furnished at that time.

The Soccer Club of Ridgefield is inviting teams from Connecticut and New York. SCOR is proud of its soccer program and Ridgefield's fields are among the finest in the state. We hope you join us in Ridgefield this year.
